If you are a suitable candidate, you then need to make another appointment in order to have the implants fitted. At the risk of repetition, that’s another 1,000 miles drive from San Francisco and another one or two nights. Probably two, as you won’t want to drive back straight after the surgery.
Then you will need to make a visit while the implants settle to ensure that everything is going along as it should do. You might even need to make more than one.
Of course, you need to go back again in order to have your final tooth or teeth fitted to the implants.

As it happens, that may be the least of your worries.
